Coach Wells has spent his career coaching Florida travel baseball, and the Foundation's roots are there, its mission is centered on helping young athletes overcome financial barriers to participation. The Foundation's support can go toward a range of costs a young athlete may run into, things like registration fees, gear and uniforms, or travel costs for tournaments, and every family's situation is different. Coach Wells has covered these costs out of his own pocket for players in the past; the Foundation exists to formalize and grow that support so it isn't limited to what one coach can personally afford.
We don't offer youth baseball scholarships in the traditional sense of a lump-sum award. The Foundation may be able to provide financial assistance when cost is a barrier to participation.
